After receiving an undergraduate and graduate degree in Administration at the University of Notre Dame, and a Master’s in International Management at AGSIM (Thunderbird), Steve’s business career began with Motorola, in Schaumburg, IL, as it was developing the first mobile phone. After 2 years in the financial division, working with divisions in Australia and South Africa, he moved to Denver and co-founded a robotics automation company.

Over the next 6 years, Steve was involved with starting 5 companies, including companies in robotics, biotechnology, a rental franchise and a national trucking company. Eventually starting TMI, to help small trucking companies reduce their cost of fuel, the company revolutionized the document management process for long-haul truck drivers, implementing a national drop box network. Reducing the billing cycle by 5 days and improving the lives of the drivers, this service soon became the industry standard.

With great partners and a terrific team, TMI’s business expanded from a niche player to a company that offered services in document imaging, truck stop and in-cab scanning, driver recruiting, and compliance services, the company was sold in 2004 to ACS, a Fortune 500 company. 

Throughout his career, in addition to growing companies, Steve has firsthand experience with public and private offerings, and the buying and selling of companies.

For the last 10 years, Steve has been coaching business owners from start-up stage to companies with $35MM in sales, and has been recognized as one of the top 100 coaches, for ActionCOACH, the largest international business coaching firm with over 1000 coaches worldwide. His coaching firm currently has 3 coaches.

As a father, Steve and his wife, Annette have been blessed with 8 children, and 23 grandchildren. In addition to the vocation of Marriage, Steve and Annette have been called to catechize in Catholic parishes in Colorado and Wyoming, giving catechesis for adults, and forming small Christian communities within the parish.
